On occasion, parties and counsel abuse the process of mediation. Remember, not all cases, not all parties and not all counsel are suitable for mediation. Having said that, according to this article from Oregon Public Broadcasting, one side in this case involving alleged molestation by priests in the Portland Archdiocese claims the other side is using mediation as a delaying tactic.
